No Mods For "Battlefield 4" DICE Doesn't Want Your Hard Work Here

Sign says long haired zombies must wait.

None

DICE announced at E3 this week that its new Battlefield 4 will not support mods, citing security and continuity in the multiplayer experience. There goes our hopes for the ever-lurking zombie mods.

Karl-Magnus Troedsson DICE's GM says that if they can't put out the user-created content to be 100 percent functional then they're not going to do it at all.

"We need to have the right tools available, we need to have the right security around this regrading what parts of the engine we let loose."

While mods with not be available for Battlefield 4 currently Troedsson does think that branching out and expanding the franchise are definitely in the future. We'd love to see an update to the Stargate mod for Battlefield 2 or dropping zombies from a chopper would be pretty awesome too.

Which mods do you think could use the vastness of Battlefield engine?
