In just a few weeks, Newton's Noodles will officially open its doors in Washington, D.C. The new venture is being led by Dennis Friedman, the Executive Chef responsible for Bethesda, Md.'sNewton's Table. Newton's Noodles will take some of its predecessor's most treasured menu selections and strip them down, making them less formal while still retaining the quality that made it notable.

The menu will be based on fuzu, a noodle dish that mixes vegetables, proteins, sauces and spices. The dish will be available in several variations, but each will consist of all-natural ingredients. Newton's Noodles will also utilize the latest technological advancement in eating utensils: the chork, a fork that transforms into chopsticks. Aside from using it to consume the fuzu, it can also be used on the ahi tuna bites (pictured above), kapow chicken, duck confit spring rolls and beef-filled wontons.

The restaurant, due to open at 1129 20th St. NW in D.C.'s Dupont Circle section, will seat 70 indoors and 40 on its outdoor patio. Maple wood and recycled leather will be used to for the walls and furnishings, and the building will accommodate both large and small parties.
