When it comes to protecting your data, we hope you're not relying on Apple. According to a recent report put out by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Apple is one of the worst companies a consumer could depend on, next to AT&T and Verizon.

Part of the problem is the companies don't require a warrant to hand over data, and won't disclose when they pass this data  to the government. Worse still, they don’t publish transparency reports, publish law enforcement guidelines or fight for users’ privacy rights in court, says Boy Genius Report

On the plus side, you can rest assured your data is safe with companies such as Twitter, Google and Dropbox, who all earned top marks in the report.
