North Carolina A&T State University is under lockdown after a man carrying a rifle was reportedly seen on the school's Greensboro, NC campus this morning. According to school spokeswoman Nettie Rowland, police have a description of the suspect, but no shots have been fired. The school has advised students to stay indoors and to lock both doors and windows. The HBCU, founded in 1891, has over 10,000 students and 2,000 faculty members.

UPDATE:According to The Huffington Post, the lockdown has been lifted because the gunman was not found. All normal university activities will continue as planned.
