Remember how real we told you how real Rikers Island is? Well that realness doesn't need to make its way to Facebook. On Feb. 10, Chard Seegars, 20, was attacked at the Rikers Island visitors center, leaving him with an eight-inch gash on his face.

As if the attack wasn't enough, he was furious after learning that a corrections officer had not only taken a picture of his injury, but uploaded it to Facebook with the message "The Things That Happens On The Island Smhh [shaking my head hard]."

This prompted Seegars to file a lawsuit with the Manhattan Supreme Court, targeting the officer, the Department of Correction and the city for the "further distress and humiliation" he's experienced. It took 90 stitches to close the wound.
