10 people were arrested at Huntington Beach, CA massage parlors after it was revealed that there was a lot of inappropriate touching going on. According to LAist, the number of massage parlors in the area has increased from 9 to 65 since 2009, and Police Chief Kenneth Small reportedly told The OC Register that most of them are hotbeds for prostitution.
This prompted a sting operation last month that included police from Anaheim, Huntington Beach, the state Department of Alcohol Beverage Controland the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force. Police say that the "massage therapists" are the real victims here, as investigations show that the bulk of the women working in the parlors have been trafficked in.
