On Monday, a woman was stopped by TSA while trying to board a flight at Dulles International Airport because an X-ray scanner noticed that there was a sword hidden inside of her cane. According to the Associated Press, the woman had no idea she was actually carrying a concealed weapon.
TSA says this happens far more often than you'd expect, but they're still taking the necessary precautions to make sure it happens less:

The woman was allowed to board her flight and won't face any charges, but her cane was confiscated.
