According to the NYPD, a NYC firefighter was arrested in Staten Island earlier this week for allegedly assaulting his wife with aniPad. The Staten Island Advance got their hands on court records which show that  Eric Bischoff's wife told police that an argument about a "picture displayed on the Internet" led to Bischoff striking her twice in the head with the device. When she tried to escape, he "threw her to the floor of a backyard patio."

He reportedly fled with the iPad when police responded, but was arrested at the 123rd Precinct stationhouse on Monday. According to the New York Daily News, the argument was about an image that Bischoff's wife posted, but police "could not describe the image’s content."

The 39-year-old Bischoff was charged with second and third-degree assault and harassment. Bischoff, who works at Engine161, called the incident a "private matter." He says that he and his wife and trying to reconcile, and denied the charges against him.
