With sequels to Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and The Avengers all in production, the cinematic Marvel Universe is in danger of giving fans too many reheated leftovers and not enough brand-new properties to see on the big screen. Sure Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man are coming out over the next few years, but neither of those movies will likely stray too far from the superhero genre mold.

Thankfully, the head of Marvel’s TV department, Jeph Loeb, recently revealed in an interview with Buzz Feed that the company is "looking at" a potential Heroes for Hire movie. Loeb even specified that this will be the classic Iron Fist and Luke Cage version of the Heroes for Hire, which debuted in Power Man and Iron First #54 in 1978.

The original idea behind Heroes for Hire was Cage and Iron Fist (aka Danny Rand) running a small superhero business that wouldn’t just help people with their problems, but pay the bills as well. If that concept is kept for the movie, it would add a fresh element to the genre and give us a different perspective on the superhero world. We’ll keep you updated if any more news breaks on this.
