If you haven't realized it, the National Hockey League is in the midst of a lengthy lockout. With no definitive end within sight, the players are bound to start pointing fingers at who's to blame and it seems that the first name mentioned is usually NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman. But how far should the hate toward the league's commish go? Cursing his name? Eh, OK. Wishing death upon him? That's taking things a bit too far.

A hockey fan named Jonah Deschamps posted a tweet with the following message, "Can I get a RT for wanting Bettman dead?" Surprisingly, Chicago Blackhawks center Dave Bolland ignored any thoughts of "maybe this is a bad idea" and retweeted the person's message. Soon after, Bolland pulled the tweet and told ESPN, "It was a mistake, I never meant to retweet that out. I like to retweet for a lot of my fans, and I just retweeted the wrong thing. I feel bad about it."

So many Twitter sports fails, you would think we'd have a list for that. Oh wait
