Alejandro Hurtado learned the hard way that you should never joke about explosives inside of Miami International Airport. The 63-year-old doctor from Guatemala now faces a charge of making a false report of bombs or explosives at an airport after jokingly telling a ticket agent that he had dynamite in his bag when asked if he was carrying any hazardous materials.
A bomb squad showed up and searched his bag, and part of the concourse had to be evacuated, which surely pissed many people off. At least one outgoing flight was delayed over an hour, and many international arrivals were delayed as well.
