Days after threats were exchanged between the Israeli Defense Forces and militant Palestinian group Hamas on Twitter, hacktivist group Anonymous entered the digital quarrel by leaking personal data of 3,000 people who have donated to pro-Isreal group, Unity Coalition for Israel.

Over 650 Israeli sites were hacked over the weekend with numerous databases wiped cleaned. During the massive attack numerous user names and passwords were stolen. A list of these user names and passwords were posted to PasteBin and shared on various Anonymous twitter accounts.

The leak could be very damaging being that current and former senators are included on the list. Current U.S. Senator Daniel Inouye of Hawaii, known for his close ties with Isreal, was found on the extensive list.

Do you think Anonymous is causing more damage by adding fuel to fire of the extensive Israeli-Palestinian conflict?
