The letter was written in 1954, shortly before his death in 1955, in response to Eric Gutkind's book, "Choose Life: The Biblical Call To Revolt." The private letter gives a rare insight of Einstein's religious views.

Here is an translated excerpt from the Einstein's letter, originally written in German, giving you an idea of his views towards his own Jewish heritage:

Auction Cause President Eric Gazin has high expectations for the auction. In a statement to Reuters he said he anticipates the letter will sell for either double or triple of its listing price. Have $3 million you could part with? Bid on the "God Letter" before the auction ends October 18 here
