Mars Inc. had its lawyers pounce on a Scottish bar for issuing a deep-fried version of its candy bar of the same name. Carron Fish Bar has been selling the popular treat, and even tried (and failed) to earn Protected Food status from the European Union, but Mars says the deep-fried version is bad for your health. They're asking for a disclaimer to be added to the candy bar, saying that it is not "authorized or endorsed" by Mars Inc.

Mars has reduced the candy bar's levels of saturated fat, and the decision to deep fry it erases all of that. The bar says they were not aware of this effort, but never said the deep-fried candy was supposed to be healthy.
