The Standard Hotelin New York offers a shocking view—from the street, that is. Anyone who uses the restroom in the Boom Boom Room, which is on the 18th floor, above the High Line, should be aware that they will be exposed to everyone on the street below. 10-foot floor-to-ceiling windows may be aesthetically impressive, but not ideal for a bathroom.
Let this be a warning, especially since there are no signs to tell customers that people walking the New York City streets might see them. Don't be surprised if someone waves at you, or takes a picture. Most people, however, will probably be just as confused and disturbed as the family in the last picture.
