Now that we have your attention, this ad, which features a woman nonchalantly pissing on a rug, is for The Standard Hotel. It's part of a new campaign that plays on acceptable hotel behavior, grabbing attention by figuratively slapping people in the face—or peeing on their rug, rather.
According to the Times, other ads feature a woman drooling into a bowl of soup and a man's head down a woman's shirt. They're reportedly the work of Austrian artistErwin Wurm, and here's how The Standard explained their new marketing technique:
