With Marvel NOW launching in the fall, the House of Ideas is prepping a massive makeover for many of its core titles, and one of the books getting the most attention is Avengers. Now the company has finally released an image of the three interlocking covers for the first three issues of the series which give us a good indication of who will be on the team.
Obviously all six core members from the Avengers movie are here, but they are being joined by some recent additions to the group like Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, the new Captain Marvel, and Wolverine. Written by Jonathan Hickman (Manhattan Projects) and illustrated by Jerome Opena, the plot for this opening storyline is being held pretty close to the vest, so we’ll have to wait until the debut issue hits stands in December to see what the company is up to.
