According to Showbiz 411, James Gandolfini and Steve Carell are going to be teaming up for a new comedy titled The Bone Men. In the film, the duo will play paleontologists from the late 1800’s. The site is reporting that right now HBO and Fox 2000 are both expressing interest in the project.
Gandolfini and Carell just finished working together on the upcoming comedy, Burt Wonderstone, so that bodes well for the chemistry here. If it does go on HBO, it will be the second high-profile comedy the network has landed in the last few months after signing on to exclusively air Larry David’s upcoming movie, Clear History.
