Facebook, Walmart, and Disney have been accused of violating four patent technologies of Eolas Technologies and the Regents of the University of California. The patent infringement trial consists of four interactive technology violations, including hypermedia display and interaction.

This is not the first time Texas-based Eolas has sued major companies for patent infringement. This past February, Eolas lost a trial in Texas against Amazon, Google, and Yahoo for two of the same patents. How Eolas has been able to pursue a case for the same patents is questionable. However, in 2007, Eolas did settle for an undisclosed amount against Microsoft on a different patent litigation.

Facebook feels this case comes without merit and in a statement a spokesperson said, "We will fight it vigorously."
