The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft—which we like for its splitscreen multiplayer functionality—just fell even further behind the PC version, which has just been updated to version 1.3.1.

The update brings a number of changes that have been long in the making and much-requested by fans, including the addition of emerald blocks and emerald ore, "cheats" in single-player (meaning commands, now without the need for a third-party mod), trading with NPCs, tripwires, the "Ender Chest" (whatever that is), and more.

Check out the full list of changes below. What else are you waiting to see added to Minecraft? Think the Xbox version will ever catch up? Let us know what you think in the comments or on Twitter.
