A 24-year-old construction worker in Rio de Janeiro had a 6-foot-long metal bar go through his skull—and he survived. The bar reportedly fell from overhead and was lodged in Eduardo Leite's skull. He was taken to Miguel Couto Hospital where doctors were able to remove it during a five-hour procedure.
Post-op, Leite showed no negative effects. The bar apparently fell from a fifth-floor window, punctured his hard hat and exited right between his eyes. He's supposed to spend another two weeks in the hospital, and it's truly a miracle that he's alive.
