Earlier this year, TechCrunch reported that Apple will replace the 30-pin dock connector on the new iPhone with a smaller version in an effort to save space inside the device. Today Reuters all but confirmed the rumor with a report of its own.

None

This would mean, of course, that every iPhone accessory would not work with Apple's latest device. We can't see that going over very well with the millions of iPhone users that have thrown down serious money for speaker docks. Reuters does note that while this may be bad news for customers, it's great news for third-party companies who could use this to bolster declining dock sales.
