Getting into PC gaming can be pretty daunting for uninitiates, especially if you don't want to spend your life savings. Luckily, there are people on the internet who will do all the research for you, and  the Origin BitFenix Prodigy was recently deemed the best gaming PC available for under $1500 by the experts over at Gizmodo.

Gizmodo compared four $1500 machines using a set of similar benchmarks, as well as "size, noise, form-factor, looks, and—importantly—how easy it will be to keep these systems updated." They ranked the Puget Systems Spirit at number four, the Maingear Potenza Super Stock at three, and the Digital Storm ODE V2 at second.

But the Origin BitFenix Prodigy was the clear front runner, with its included solid state drive (improving its overall performance) and "heavily-overclocked" CPU. Plus, it looks cool.

What do you think of Origin's PCs? Is it still smarter to just build your own from individual parts? Tell us in the comments or on Twitter.
