In case you didn't hear, Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm Studios is making a DC Comics fighting game called Injustice: Gods Among Us. In case the trailer left you wanting more, we've got a few screenshots of one-on-one super-battle action.

Since the game's initial announcement, it's been revealed that the characters will be separated into two types, "powered" and "gadget". Powered fighters like Superman will be able to smash players through walls and pick up massive objects to use as weapons, while gadget-using guys like Batman will be able to interact with different aspects of the environment.

According to NetherRealm top dog Ed Boon, it will be important to choose your level based on which character you use, since different characters will have distinct level-specific advantages. Everything, down to your starting position, will play a key role in how the fight does down.

Lastly, Joystiq pointed out that the Flash dodges an icicle in the trailer, indicating that either Mr. Freeze or Captain Cold will likely make the roster.
