In Tokyo, Tatsu Ramen is just like In-N-Out—highly coveted, widely discussed, but never imitated. Now it's available in the land of that famous burger. Starting next week, the denizens of Los Angeles will have another chain to lord over the rest of us.
Like In-N-Out, Tatsu (2123 Sawtelle Blvd.) has a spartan menu—you select either Tonkotsu (with meat) or Naked (vegetarian), then you choose from the add-ins: pork, chicken, extra noodles, an egg, or tofu. Pick up a drink, and it's a wrap. Expect to hear about this all the time starting Wednesday, May 23.
