Unless your name is already something cool like Rip Torn or Powers Boothe, chances are that you have dreamed of a better one than what your parents gave you. For the most part, though, most of us shuffle along through life without doing anything about it. But that's not what Tyler Gold had in mind.
The 23-year-old self-proclaimed entrepreneur from Nebraska waltzed into the York County District Court on Monday and legally changed his name to Tyrannosaurus Rex, according to The York News Times. Why did he do this? Gold simply said because it's "cooler." Well we're not going to argue that.
So from now on, he will be known to the world as Tyrannosaurus Rex Joseph Gold. We certainly think that it has a nice ring to it.
