The previously rumored June 12 release date for the PS Vita version of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection has turned out to be 100% accurate, which is more than you can say for us when we're playing Metal Gear Solid games, because we suck at them and miss a lot.

Konami has confirmed that the HD Collection will be hitting the portable Vita system, around the same time as some other notable Vita titles (same day for Gravity Rush and the day before Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock).

Saves are "transfarrable" between the PS Vita and PS3 versions, though of course you'd have to for some reason own both. And the Vita version doesn't come with Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (pictured above), possibly because you can already play the PSP version of Peace Walker on the Vita.

Which version appeals to you more? The version with Peace Walker or the one with touch controls and portability? Tell us in the comments or on Twitter.
