Whether or not you’re considering purchasing an Android device, the Galaxy Nexus is now worth some serious consideration. Google has made its flagship device—built in collaboration with Samsung—available for purchase immediately on its Play site for only $399.99. Here’s the kicker: it’s both unlocked and contract-free so you can take the Ice Cream Sandwich-powered device over to any HSPA+-compatible carrier (most notably AT&T and T-Mobile). It’s a pretty innovative move on Google’s part, and should certainly serve to push the company’s mobile manufacturing initiatives forward.
