Scarlett Johansson To Star in "Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho"

Is a re-enactment of the famous shower scene a possibility?

Scarlett Johansson is making her first foray into the horror genre (unless you count 2002's killer spider flick Eight Legged Freaks) with a horror head's dream project: the biopic of Alfred Hitchcock.

The actress has signed on to play Janet Leigh, the original scream queen who was famous for her nude, blood-circling the shower scene, in the upcoming Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho. The king of calamity himself, Hitchcock, will be played by Anthony Hopkins and his wife Alma Reville by Helen Mirren. The film will focus on Hitchcock's relationship with his wife and the making of 1960's Psycho, and will begin filming later this year.

Horror fans will be rightfully apprehensive about Hollywood tackling such an important figure to the genre, but with a veteran like Hopkins on the case and the possibility of seeing Johansson naked on the table, we doubt anyone has cause for complaint.
