Last week, talk show host Geraldo Rivera made a few pretty awful comments about the tragic Trayvon Martin case, namely that the way Martin was dressed - in a hoodie - was as much to blame for his death as the man who killed him, George Zimmerman, was.
Unsurprisingly, his comments received a lot of (deserved) backlash. Today, in response, Rivera attempted a pretty half-assed apology through his Twitter, saying: "Heard petition demands my apology to Trayvon's parents. Save effort: I deeply apologize for any hurt I caused-that is not my goal or intent."
Additionally, he emailed Politicoin an attempt to straighten things out:
None
So, basically, he said the same thing he did last week, only this time he typed it out instead of saying it out loud.
