TVs Are Still Most Popular Electronics, Ahead of Cell Phones

Clinging to the past.

None

Even if it seems we’re moving towards having our computers and mobile devices streaming all of our favorites films and shows, TV still stands as the most common electronics device. According to Nielsen, over 290 million Americans own TVs compared to 253 million people who own DVD players and the 232 million mobile phone owners.

Out of the nation's population of about 310 million, surprisingly about 120 million people still don’t have access to PCs or laptops at home or at work. And about 100 million don’t have online access.

As we throttle forwards towards innovation after innovation, a third of the country is being left behind.
