Seth McFarlane Wants to Revive "Star Trek"

Now that Seth McFarlane has admitted he thinks Family Guy should come to an end, the next logical question we need answered is "what's next".

Well, according to a recent interview McFarlane did with Hollywood Reporter, the funnyman has dreams of resurrecting Star Trek.

"I don't know who would give me the keys to that car...but I’d love to see that franchise revived for television in the way that it was in the 1990s: very thoughtful, smartly written stories that transcend the science fiction audience.”

McFarlane acknowledges that snagging the Sci-Fi series for a TV reboot might be a difficult sell, especially considering J.J. Abrams upcoming plans for a sequel to his successful Star Trek film, but that doesn't neccesarily rule the possibility out entirely.

The way we see it, there's more that enough room in our Sci-Fi-obsessed imaginations for both a movie and a TV show devoted to the members of USS Enterprise.  Are you listening Paramount? TV, movies, cartoons...we want 'em all!
