If anyone was wondering whatever happened to Jim Carrey's funny bone, just have a look at fellow comedy titan Steve Carell. After upstaging the Man of 1,000 Faces with his eccentric news-reading cameo performance in 2003's Bruce Almighty, Carell stole Carrey's bone (#noRazB) and went onto legendary status with NBC's The Office. Now, with his star clearly beginning to fade, Jim Carrey is in negotiations to star alongside Carell in Burt Wonderstone.

The plot finds Carell playing the title character, a Las Vegas magician who breaks with his longtime stage partner and finds himself upstaged by a rival hip street magician who is stealing his thunder. For the five people reading this who wish they could "un-see" The Number 23, Carrey is coming off some better projects with Mr. Popper's Penguins and I Love You, Philip Morris. There's no word yet on whether the comeback comedian will play the longtime partner or the street magician, but after the dynamic duo previously worked on the animated film, Horton Hears a Who, is another on-screen rivalry brewing?
