With Siri being the iPhone 4S’s big selling point, it’s not a shock that Android would soon deliver its own voice recognition app as a counter. Created in just 8 hours, the cleverly titled “Iris” is an app that can handle the simpler tasks asked of Siri—in other words, anything that can be answered via Wikipedia.
Iris’ AI isn’t quite there yet, excelling in recognition, but not processing. As a free app, though, it’s worth a shot—it certainly beats buying a new phone.
