Clint Eastwood's back with his annual Oscar bait prestige film, this time featuring Leonardo DiCaprio as the controversial FBI lawman.

Warner Bros. have finally let loose the trailer for the highly-anticipated biopic J. Edgar, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the controversial leader of the FBI. The film explores Hoover's conflicted public and private life, from his strict upbringing with a nurturing, yet pushy mother (played by Judi Dench) to his appointment as America's top brass lawman. This includes his role in founding and running the FBI.

With the online arrival of the first trailer for J. Edgar, we get our first look at what Leonardo DiCaprio both looks and sounds like in the role of one of the most controversial political figures of the 20th Century. Director Clint Eastwood has gathered Armie Hammer (right-hand man Clyde Tolson) and Naomi Watts (secretary Helen Grandy), along with his usual killer cast including Stephen Root, Jeffrey Donovan, Dermot Mulroney, and Zach Grenier.
