In the history of disturbing phone calls, it's unlikely that any are as horrific as the ones that Tatiana Moskalyova received from her 19-year-old daughter Olga as she was being eaten alive by a brown bear and its cubs.

The Daily Mail reports that Olga and her stepfather, Igor Tsyganenkov, were attacked by a river in the eastern Siberian region of Russia and she witnessed the bear breaking his neck and smashing his skull, killing him, before she fled and was ultimately chased down by the animal. Over the next hour, while the bear toyed with and ate her, the dying victim managed to make three phone calls to her mom.

During her first call, Olga screamed, "Mom, the bear is eating me! Mom, it’s such agony. Mom, help!" In her second call, she said, "Mom, the bears are back. She came back and brought her three babies. They’re... eating me." In her third and final call, after the bears had abandoned her, she said, "Mom, it’s not hurting any more. I don’t feel the pain. Forgive me for everything, I love you so much."

Despite Tatiana's attempts to summon police and relatives in the area, by the time they arrived, both Olga and Igor were dead. Authorities sent in hunters to kill the mother bear and her three cubs.
