It looks like Tyler Perry may have even more in common with Oprah Winfrey than previous thought. At least if Lionsgate has any say in the matter. The studio and Perry are reportedly planning to launch an all-Tyler television channel called TylerTV in the near future.
Both sides declined to comment, but the New York Times states that it will happen, and be a home for Perry's movies, television product and other original programming.
The details are still be worked out, but if you can't wait for TylerTV, there's always TBS. The network currently airs two Perry-produced sitcoms, with a third coming in the fall.
