9. Barnes & Noble Nook
Specs: 6-inch Pearl E-Ink touchscreen, 7.48 ounces, .47-inches thin, two-month battery life
The e-reader wars got a lot more interesting last month when Barnes & Noble announced its all-new Nook: a faster, lighter, thinner model with a two-month battery life (a full month longer than the Kindle's). It also now has a touchscreen and a new low price of $139. Kindle killer? Could be, but probably not--we can say it's definitely the Kindle's closet competition by a long shot. We predict we're going to see a lot more Nook's on our morning commutes.
