Think of this one as Sex and the City for your mother. Or grandmother. HBO has begun developing a new comedy series with Sex creator Darren Star: The Viagra Diaries.
Based on the bestselling book by Barbara Rose Brooker, Diaries would focus on an older woman whose 65-year-old husband leaves her during a "midlife" crisis. This puts her back on the dating market for the first time in 35 years, meaning things have changed. (Also, hence the title.) Goldie Hawn is lined up to play the leading lady here, which would mark her first acting appearance in nearly a decade.
Whether or not Diaries winds up going to series remains to be seen, but judging from the past relationship HBO had with Star, expect this one to work out just fine.
