Earlier this year, the release of the Yale University Press' Anthology of Rap became an occasion less for fanfare and more for arguments about the accuracy of the lyrics. In the ensuing back-and-forth between reviewers, editors, and OHHLA junkies, it became clear that there were a number of errors. Hopefully they'll have been cleared up by tomorrow when Miami's New World Center hosts a reading from the Anthology of Rap. Jean Grae, along with other emcees and poets, is slated to read; presumably, they'll be able to correct any mistakes in their own songs.
This event is part the of O, Miami Poetry Festival.
