Back in 2008, Eddie Murphy reunited with director Brian Robbins, with whom the comedian abused us with gave us Norbit and Meet Dave, to make a film called A Thousand Words.

In the high-concept comedy, Murphy plays a guy who discovers he only has 1,000 words left to speak before he dies. Unfortunately, the early consensus from critics was scathing at best, leaving Paramount to bounce the project around on it's calendar and send A Thousand Words into limbo.

It seems that Murphy's latest will finally see the light of day, though, now that Paramount has announced a release date of January 13, 2012.

Having seen both Norbit and Meet Dave, we're not exactly waiting with heightened anticipation.
