The major argument against 4G is that the new high-speed service isn't really "4G" at all, but just a trumped-up 3G. This leaves many people wondering if their new 4G capable phone is downloading data faster than their old 3G model. According to research firm RootMetrics, if you're on Verizon, you're definitely hitting true 4G speeds.
RootMetricsperformed a test throughout the Seattle area to see if each network's 4G speeds were really as blazing fast as they claim them to be.
The study showed that Big Red's LTE network performed at a 100 percent data-success rate, performing a crazy 14.5 times faster than its competitors 4G service. The 4G phones used were Verizon's HTC Thunderbolt, AT&T's HTC Inspire, Sprint's HTC Evo, and T-Mobile's Samsung Galaxy S.
Your move, AT&T-Mobile.
