#15: DENNIS DUN AS WANG CHI IN BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA (1986)

The heroic twosome in John Carpenter’s absurdist romp Big Trouble in Little China exemplifies both the “brains versus brawn” and “Asians are smarter” motifs. On the physical side you’ve got Kurt Russell’s Jack Burton, an Indiana Jones wannabe too inept to overcome the various conflicts presented in seedy Chinatown. That’s where Dennis Dun’s far more intelligent Wang Chi comes in, consistently using his IQ to save the day. We bet he’s great at math, too.
