#10: WINDTALKERS (2002)
Hollywood executives rarely pass on war film projects, meaning that for every awesome Saving Private Ryan there’s an inferior Pearl Harbor. And somewhere below that lies Windtalkers, a hodge-podge of war movie cliches and rampant battle scenes, directed by the action-loving John Woo. Playing a U.S. Marine sergeant fighting in World War II, Cage isn’t given much to do other than exude angst, react to violence, and look tough, but he doesn’t even do those things well. We wouldn’t be surprised if VFW halls show Windtalkers during comedy nights.
