Some of the most significant improvements have been made to the various graphics and sensors systems that will allow for a better hand-held gaming experience. Android will now allow games (and apps) to implement functions for a gyroscope, rotation vector, linear acceleration, gravity, and barometer sensors. Android will also give developers easier access to its graphics library. All these improvements—as well as a report that 2.3 will support devices with video game-like buttons—lend credence to the rumor that the Sony PSP phone will run a version of Android.
