#19: CHELO ALONSO AS STEVEN’S WIFE IN THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY (1966)
In a film as vast and brilliant as Sergio Leone’s The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, it’s easy to overlook the smaller details. However, if, like us, you never miss a pretty face, Cuban bombshell Chelo Alonso’s one scene should stand out amongst the film’s awesome score and Lee Van Cleef’s mean-mugging. With her caramel skin and leering eyes, Alonso looked like the Latina version of Foxy Brown-era Pam Grier. When she wasn’t acting, Cuba’s sexiest import was considered the Shakira of her day, a spicy number able to shake her hips like none other. As blasphemous as this might sound to Leone die-hards, we think The Good, The Bad and The Ugly could’ve used a musical interlude to optimize Alonso’s talents.
