Contrary to popular beliefs, we're not all about hot women, rap music, and violent movies. We watched Saturday morning cartoons, and animated films just like the rest. But unlike the animation from our time, kids nowadays got their knowledge sprayed up with 3D fuckery. That's cool, but we seriously miss some good-ol' hand-sketched animation. We're hoping critically-acclaimed French filmmaker Sylvain Chomet's (The Triplets of Belleville) The Illusionist will provide the fix. The film came out in Europe earlier this year, but it'll hit American theaters on December 25th (Christmas!). The story follows a traveling magician who meets a young girl, and their journey across Europe. As shown in the trailer, it's a non-verbal film with everything represented through art and wit. Peep the footage above.
