Chief Keef's cousin Fredo Santana has passed away at the age of 27 following a fatal seizure. Santana was found by his girlfriend in his Los Angeles home around 11:30 p.m. on Friday night. He revealed he had been diagnosed with liver and kidney failure, which may have been caused by drug abuse, back in October,

Keef went on social media to express his grief, and retweeted a handful of GIFs and images that his fans sent him. On Instagram, he posted a now-deleted screenshot of Santana's 2017 song "Tell Nobody," where Keef was the feature. "Love you dude for ever," Keef said in the caption, "It was good to be able to hug you..."

Santana, Keef, Lil Reese, and producer Young Chop were a few of the stars who spearheaded Chicago’s influential drill music scene in 2012. Santana released his most recent mixtape, Fredo Kruger 2, in 2017. His fans were anticipating the release of his project Turbo Bandana before he became ill in Oct. 2017.
