Birdman Has Reportedly Called Off All Negotiations With Lil Wayne

Birdman has allegedly called off the ongoing negotiations with Lil Wayne to settle Weezy's $51 million lawsuit.

Birdman has reportedly called off all negotiations with his Cash Money artist, Lil Wayne. TMZ is reporting that lawyers for each party were close to reaching an agreement until Birdman heard about Weezy shouting out Roc-A-Fella instead of Cash Money during his Camp Flog Gnaw performance of "I'm Me." Birdman has allegedly now called off the negotiations to settle their $51 million lawsuit.

At the time, fans speculated that the shout out might mean Weezy was in the process or at least in talks to ink a deal with Jay Z's Roc Nation. It's no secret that Birdman and Jay have had their differences in the past with the former suing Jay and Tidal for $50 million for streaming Wayne'sFree Weezy album back in 2015. However, it later turned out that Birdman never actually followed through with his suit. "No Cash Money lawsuit was ever served and therefore it was dismissed before it was ever started," a Tidal rep confirmed in April.

Still, there is no love lost between the Cash Money co-founder and Lil Wayne who have been entangled in an ongoing beef and million dollar legal battle for some time now. Birdman remained hopeful for a reconciliation as recently as September, but Wayne slammed chances of reconciliation in recent interviews. While promoting his memoir, Gone 'Til November, Weezy only separated himself from Birdman even more. "I'm 34 baby, I’m too old for friends … His last name isn't Carter, baby. He’s not family."

You can watch a video of Weezy shouting out Roc below.

At this point, Wayne is saying fuck Cash Money for life. This Roc-A-Fella shout-out was random tho: pic.twitter.com/DiJoo7zJWC
