Reebok “Court Victory (Base)" 400%

Released at the dawn of a new decade, the Reebok Pump not only revolutionized sneakers, it also prophesied a new epoch of personalized technology. Smartphones, MP3 players, wearable tech, AI-assistants - they all owe a debt to the Reebok Pump.

But technology without culture is just a series of tubes, and the Pump was tech that told a story: the story of a tennis prodigy, undersized and underestimated, who won The French Open when he was 17 years old. Another story it told was something entirely different. A fully-flocked, impossibly cool collab from 2006 that was available exclusively on the Lower East Side.

For our inaugural ghostwrite x Reebok release, we created two ghosts. This is the “Court Victory” base design. It tells the story of the original Pump.
